The Youth Director at First United Methodist Church Nacogdoches is responsible for nurturing the spiritual growth of youth in grades six through twelve by creating a welcoming, Christ-centered ministry grounded in the values and theology of the United Methodist Church.
This position leads and coordinates weekly youth gatherings, Bible studies, mission opportunities, retreats, and fellowship activities that encourage discipleship, service, and authentic relationships with God and one another.
The Youth Director partners with church staff, parents, and volunteers to build a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where young people are supported in their faith journeys and empowered to live out their Christian calling within the church and the wider community.

Children’s Director
The Children’s Director at First United Methodist Church of Nacogdoches, Texas, provides leadership and vision for the spiritual formation and care of children from birth through elementary age.
This role is responsible for selecting and coordinating Sunday School curriculum, planning and leading Vacation Bible School, and recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers who serve in children’s ministries.
The Children’s Director nurtures children in their faith development, creates a welcoming and safe environment for families, and works collaboratively with church staff and volunteers to help children grow in their relationship with God and their connection to the church.
