First Youth

FirstNac Youth Group is led by Pastor Melissa Garza and Sarah Lane on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. in the Grove. All 6th to 12th graders are invited.

During the Lenten season, Lauren Tyler and Pastor Melissa will lead a youth-only Lenten study on Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. We’ll be talking all things Methodist—John & Charles, the Wesleyan means of grace, and a heart strangely warmed.

Join Wednesdays, February 25th - March 25th, in the Youth Lounge.

This June, our youth group will participate in MissionNAC's Summer WORKS Project alongside groups from area churches and organizations.  This is MissionNAC's 14th year of serving the underserved of Nacogdoches.  The WORKS Project sends hundreds of volunteers into the community to repair homes, sharing God's light through lovingkindness in action.

We will work the morning shift from Wednesday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to noon, under the direction of experienced project managers.  Registration is open to all youth and parents.  There is no fee to participate — the $30 registration fee is covered by last year's Wall of Money fundraiser.

Please note: In order too ensure an accurate headcount for our registration fee, all participants must first register with FirstNac using the link below.  After submitting your registration, you will receive specific instructions on how to complete the MissionNAC registration form.  Again, please do not register on the MissionNAC website without these instructions.

Registration Deadline: Friday, May 15th

Girl Scout Troop 102246 is now meeting every 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 3-5 pm in the Family Life Center. We currently have girls in grades K-8, but can happily accommodate 9th to 12th grade girls as well! Come join us and start on the road to the Girl Scout Gold Award! It's also Girl Scout cookie season. If you are craving yummy Thin Mints or Shortbreads or one of the other flavors, text 512-921-3832. We deliver!

Interested in signing up as an Acolyte?

“Jesus said: ‘I am the light of the world’” (John 8:12 NRSV).

The presence of the light reminds us of Jesus coming into our world and into our lives. The acolytes carry light into the worship service as a symbol of Jesus coming into the presence of the worshiping community and after worship, taking the light of Christ out into the world.

Youth are encouraged to participate from 6th grade through high school.

Contact Sarah Lane at 214-681-5252 for more information.
